100th Goal For Griffin As Dysons Draw Dysons Rovers 2 - 2 White Hart Reserves First Half: Top of the table clash and a win would send Dysons to the top of the table. Dysons started brightly and were creating problems for the White Hart defence. Scott Griffin managed to get a couple of early runs in at their defence line. Robert Balmer should have scored when Scott Griffin burst down the right wing and whipped a ball back across the box. Robert went for the shot with his left foot and completely miss hit the ball putting it wide. Andrew Hastings had a chance also when Scott laid the ball through for him but the keeper saved well. Scott himself had a good strike dipping into the goal but was excellently saved by the White Hart keeper. Then just over 15 minutes gone Dysons got the lead they deserved. Man of the Match, Andy Soteriou slotted a pass into the feet of Scott Griffin just inside the White Hart half. Scott turned and ran at the defender beating for pace and slotted a low shot into the net for a 1-0 lead. Dysons continued to pressure and had some good chances. Scott hit another shot after linking well with Jamie Day but just put it over the goal by a fraction. Robert Balmer hit a good free kick but the keeper held it well. Then on the half hour mark White Hart levelled. Simon Foord handballed in the area to give away a penalty and Barker had no chance of saving as the penalty hit the post and went in. Dysons were a little jaded and White Hart were starting to gain in confidence. The passing started becoming erratic and the match turned a little sloppy. Then with just under 10 minutes of the half left, Dysons regained the lead. Robert Balmer took a well-taken corner but the defender headed it out. Alan Bazell was quickest to react and laid the ball back to Jamie Day who struck the ball fiercely towards goal & Scott Griffin cleverly flicked the ball up over the defence lobbing the keeper for an outstanding goal to Score his 100th goal for Dysons. Unfortunately just before the end of the half Dysons conceded a sloppy goal from a corner, an unmarked header from close range levelling the score. Jason Beckford almost regained the lead immediately from an Andrew Hastings cross but only managed to volley it over the bar from close range. Second Half: The second half was very slow. Alan Bazell went off early with an injury for Anthony Robinson and Andrew Hastings made way for Alan Wilson to come on the right wing. A couple of good efforts could have seen Dysons win the match. Alan Wilson delivered a good cross near the end, which was not met. But the pick of the bunch came with 2 minutes to go. Jason Beckford worked hard to create the chance beating 2 players. Jason then slotted the ball across to unmarked Jamie Day who made a great run but just caught the ball all wrong in his stride and rifled the shot over the bar from inside the area. Score remained 2-2 and a point each.
